04 / Behind the studio

A small studio.
A personal approach.

Metro Ridge Digital is a new, independent website design business serving small businesses around the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metro. The focus today is simple: thoughtful, useful websites that help local businesses feel at home online.

I’m starting this studio for the people building something of their own—the cleaner growing a neighborhood business, the contractor ready for a better first impression, the café with a story to tell.

You’ll work directly with the designer, from our first conversation to the final handoff. The goal is straightforward: a useful, thoughtful website at a price that makes sense for your next step.

Starting with the south Minneapolis–Saint Paul metro.

05 / A few good questions

Let’s clear
things up.

Good websites start with clear expectations.

How much will my website cost?

The introductory one-page package starts at $400 for the design and build within the agreed starter scope. Extra pages, special features, and larger redesigns receive an individual quote. Domain and hosting costs are separate. You’ll know the scope and price before work begins.

How long does a website take?

Timing depends on the size of your site, current availability, and how quickly your content and feedback are ready. We’ll agree on a realistic schedule before starting. A focused one-page site is a smaller project than a multi-page site or a custom integration.

Will I own my website?

After final payment, you’ll receive the finished website files and own the custom work created for your project. Your domain and hosting should be registered in accounts you control. Any third-party fonts, images, or tools remain subject to their own licenses, which we’ll identify at handoff.

What about a domain name and hosting?

Your domain is your web address; hosting is where your site lives. Both are separate from the website package. I can help you choose an appropriate setup and connect the site, with the accounts and ongoing bills in your name.

How do revisions work?

The starter package includes one consolidated round of design revisions within the agreed scope. We’ll review the direction before the build. Extra revision rounds, new pages, or a change in direction are discussed and quoted before additional work begins.

Can you help after launch?

Yes, ongoing updates and support can be discussed and quoted separately, depending on the work and availability. The starter package includes launch help and a file handoff; it does not include an ongoing maintenance plan. We’ll make the post-launch arrangements clear before you commit.

What do I need to provide?

A description of your business and services, contact details, and any logo, photos, and text you’d like to use. Only supply material you have permission to use. If something is missing, we’ll identify it early and agree on what’s needed.
